Matt Starcevich, Ph.D.
Matt began his career as an Assistant Professor of Management at
The University of Notre Dame. After three years of teaching and
research, his interest in the application of individual and
group theory led him to positions as the Director of
Organization Development for G. D. Searle, Phillips Petroleum,
and Rexnord. With both theoretical and practical experience he
has, since 1978, consulted with both large and small
corporations, school systems and non-profit organizations

research and theory in an understandable, practical, and useable
manner.
Matt has published articles in

Matt has a doctoral degree from The University of Oklahoma, a
Masters In Business Administration from Northern Illinois
University, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Western
Illinois University. He is listed in Who's Who in the Southwest,
Who's Who in Science, and received ASTD's Organization
Development Practitioner of The Year Award in 1989.
Matt and his wife Judy live at Grand Lake, Oklahoma. He enjoys
golfing, boating, hunting, motorcycling, training and showing
dogs. |

Joe Howie, J.D.
Joe has
had a variety of work experiences that have given him insight
into various industries and careers. These include serving in
the merchant marine on the Great Lakes, being an enlisted Air
Force weather observer and a medical administration officer,
being a lawyer at the government level (Assistant Attorney
General with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office), corporate
in-house counsel with Phillips Petroleum and in private practice
settings, software development, marketing and PR consulting.
Joe has a
law degree from Ohio State University, a Masters degree in
systems management from the University of Southern California
and a business degree from the University of Michigan. The first
two years of college, he attended Lake Superior State College.
Joe
co-founded the Association of Litigation Support Professionals,
serves on the ALSP Board of Directors and edits the monthly
electronic newsletter of the ALSP. He is also on the editorial
board of Law Technology News, is a fellow on the Council of
Litigation Management and is Director, Metrics Development for
the Electronic Discovery Institute, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit

Joe and
his wife Carolyn live in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He enjoys
long-distance motorcycling (see

refinishing antique furniture and leather work. He is also
concerned about energy and resource conservation and has

promotes wise use of electrical energy (see
